Assessor real-property directory

x_realprop_dirrelease v0.7.1CC0 1.0

About

Extraction table: the Andrews Real Property Directory of San Francisco, 1943 and 1949 editions (archive.org scans), one row per printed address line: street, number, assessor block and lot, and the owners as printed (read by claude-sonnet-5-5 from page tiles; source-review run). The owners are shown: the editions are more than 75 years old (the privacy rule withholds names only for records under 75 years).

Where it comes from
The Andrews Real Property Directory of San Francisco, 1943 and 1949 editions, scanned on the Internet Archive.
How it was read
Read line by line by a language model (Claude Sonnet) from images of the pages.
How far to trust it
The release passed its automatic checks before it was published (what is checked). A hand check by the editor of qipu data is under way: 36 of 38 items checked so far were right, on votes, money, places and the map. A row says what the record states; the scanned page is the authority. Details
