Corrections and takedown

How to report an error or ask for a record to be withheld, and the corrections made so far.

Report an error

Write through www.qipu.org (a dedicated address is being set up). Give the record's identifier (qipu:sf/...) or its page address, what is wrong, and the source that shows it.

Ask for a record to be withheld

The same channel. Requests about a private person are handled first. A withheld record keeps its identifier; its text is removed from the next release.

How corrections are recorded

Corrections are a separate layer (corrections), kept next to what was read and never erasing it. Each says what changed and why. A correction made after a release is shown on this site at once and goes into the files with the next release.

Identifiers

Identifiers are never reused or deleted. A merged or retired identifier keeps resolving through id_redirects.
