How these pages are built

Each page gathers the decisions of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors that name one company, agency, place, project or event, and links every decision to its printed page on archive.org.

What is counted

Each printed item of the Board is one decision. It counts once, however many times the name is printed in it, and a payment or a party counts from the best reading of the item. Amounts of money are shown on each decision and never added up, because the printed figures mix budgets, claims and payments. Each page also says which rule joins its decisions to it.

How sure each line is

Read
A model read the printed page and named the company or place in this role.
Matched
A rule joined them: the words of the item, or the name in its summary. Looser matches, such as a name in a long list, are hidden unless you ask for them.
Reviewed
A person checked it.

Names

Companies are grouped from the ways their names were printed, by rules. Private people are never named. A Wikidata link marked unconfirmed was found by a name rule and not yet checked by a person.
